Overview
This course prepares candidates for AACE International’s Certified Cost Professional (CCP®) certification and develops the competency required to support corporate investment decision-making. It equips participants with the ability to apply statistics and probability techniques in bidding, planning, scheduling, and estimating, while effectively implementing Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) for cost control and performance measurement. The course also addresses productivity analysis and performance evaluation, and goes beyond isolated cost topics by presenting an integrated project controls perspective that combines cost estimating, planning and scheduling, cost control, and risk management into a unified professional framework.
Description
AACE’s CCP® certification distinguishes professionals whose skills and knowledge are benchmarked against internationally recognized cost engineering practices. A Certified Cost Professional is an experienced practitioner with advanced technical expertise capable of applying the principles of Total Cost Management (TCM) throughout the planning, execution, and control of projects and programs across various industries.
At Charter Training Center, this course is delivered as a high-level professional program designed for those who manage cost at a strategic level—not as a routine accounting function, but as a core element of project governance and value protection. The course concludes with a comprehensive mock examination to assess readiness for the CCP® certification exam and reinforce applied understanding.
