Overview

The Value Methodology Fundamentals 1B (VMF1B) course is an advanced, instructor-led program designed to strengthen and apply the Value Methodology knowledge. It uses a structured live case study, hands-on tools, and group activities to prepare participants for the Value Methodology Associate (VMA) certification. Value Methodology Fundamentals 1B (VMF1B) is a foundational professional course that introduces participants to the principles, structure, and thinking framework of Value Methodology as defined by SAVE International®. The course focuses on understanding value as a balance between function, cost, and performance, and how structured analysis leads to better decision-making across projects and organizations. At Charter Training Center, VMF1B is positioned as an essential starting point for professionals who want to move beyond intuition-based decisions and adopt a systematic approach to achieving optimal value without compromising project objectives.

Description

Value Methodology Fundamentals 1B (VMF1B)
is an advanced, interactive virtual course led by a certified instructor, designed to deepen and apply Value Methodology (VM) knowledge in practice. The course prepares participants to confidently attempt the VMA (Value Methodology Associate) certification from SAVE International.

This course provides a structured introduction to Value Methodology and its application in solving problems, improving performance, and optimizing resource use. Participants learn the fundamental concepts of function analysis, value definition, and the logic behind evaluating alternatives based on their contribution to required functions.

VMF1B emphasizes the mindset behind value-based thinking, enabling participants to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for improvement across design, construction, operations, and management processes. The course is aligned with international value standards and serves as a prerequisite for advanced value methodology certifications.
